Cameron Mutual Insurance Company


Established in 1892 as the Farmers Mutual Tornado, Cyclone and Windstorm Association of the Third Congressional District at Darling in Gentry County, the company was moved to Cameron in 1902.  In 1907 the name of the company was shortened to State Farmers Mutual Tornado Insurance Company, and the charter was amended to include the entire state of Missouri.  

 

In 1959 the company was authorized to write casualty insurance.  The policyholders voted to once again change the name of the company in 1968, to Cameron Mutual Insurance Company.  The company now writes business in Missouri, Arkansas and Iowa.
