Cameron Insurance Companies offers a comprehensive benefits program for full time employees. Employment at Cameron Insurance Companies is "At Will". The following is only a brief summary of our benefit program. This program and any part of it may be changed, modified or deleted at any time.

Eight paid holidays are observed each year plus a personal birthday holiday.
Paid Vacation
First year employees earn vacation beginning with the first month of employment prorated at one day for each full month of employment not to exceed ten days. The maximum yearly vacation accumulates according to a schedule based on years of employment up to twenty days vacation per year after fifteen years of employment.
Paid Sick Leave
Full time employees earn Sick Leave at the rate of eight (8) hours per month subject to a cap. Employees may use accumulated Sick Leave for their own illness and the illness of a spouse, parent or child, including doctor and dental appointments.
Bereavement Leave
Full time employees are provided special funeral/bereavement leave to attend funeral services for deaths in immediate family and close relatives.
Medical and Dental Insurance
Comprehensive group health and dental insurance plans are available to regular full time employees with costs for coverages for employees and dependents shared by the Company and employee.
Cafeteria Plan
A Section 125 Cafeteria Plan is available which allows employees to pay for eligible medical, dependent care expenses and various insurance premiums with pretax dollars.
401K
Allows eligible employees to save for retirement on a tax deferred basis through payroll deduction. Eligible employees may defer a portion of compensation with the Company providing a matching contribution of 25% of the first 10% of participant’s deferred compensation. Eligibility is subject to a waiting period, minimum age requirement and annual number of hours worked. Different investment options are provided participants.
Employee Assistance Program
Cameron Insurance Companies offers an Employee Assistance Program for employees and their family members. The program provides timely and free access to confidential, professional services when they are facing a personal or job-related problem. The Employee Assistance Program is voluntary and strictly confidential.
Defined Contribution Retirement Plan
The Company funds a retirement plan for employees’ financial security after retirement. Eligibility is subject to a waiting period, minimum age requirement and annual number of hours worked. Different investment options are provided participants.
Life Insurance
Group term life insurance is provided each regular full time employee by the Company with a death benefit of two times the employee’s annual salary to include double indemnity for accidental death. Optional supplemental and dependent coverages are available through payroll deduction.
Disability Insurance
Short Term Disability Insurance, paid by the Company, provides full time employees weekly benefits for sickness or injury resulting in a temporary disability following use of accrued Sick Leave. Long Term Disability Insurance, paid by the Company, replaces two-thirds of full time employees’ salary for sickness or injury following use of accrued Sick Leave and/or Short Term Disability.
Educational Assistance
Various insurance courses are provided to employees wanting to expand their knowledge of the insurance industry. Other educational assistance is available for needed job skills.
Recognition Awards
The Company provides an Employee Service Award Program recognizing employees who have completed five years continuous employment and each five years thereafter.
Direct Deposit Payroll
Employees are paid twice each month via Direct Deposit Payroll.
Great Working Environment
Work attire is "Business Casual" Monday through Thursday with each Friday observed as Casual and Caring Day in which blue jeans are acceptable wear with an optional donation to the Employees’ Casual and Caring Fund. Employees select local charities to receive funds from these donations.
We observe a 40 hour work week with our core business hours from 8:00 A.M. To 4:30 P.M., Monday through Friday. Employees are provided 30 minute lunch breaks and 15 minute breaks each morning and each afternoon. We provide flexible starting times and work schedules for full time employees to address departmental needs and employees’ personal needs.
All Company Buildings are smoke free.
Vending machines for soda and juice, as well as, snacks and gum are located in the Multi-Purpose area in the lower level. Coffee and seasonal fruit are available during working hours.
